For more than a decade I have been trying to create a small business infrastructure, as it is my belief that this is what is necessary to reduce the horrific small business mortality rate that currently stands at around 57% after 5 years in the UK.
Now, with SFEDI (the Government recognised UK Standards Setting Body for Business Support and Business Enterprise), we are finally able to provide small businesses with a complete infrastructure, through a network of Business Service Professionals, that will help them on the road to success – something that is not only necessary but long overdue!
Governments have tried, and failed, to reduce the business mortality rate, and now the private sector has a chance to drive this figure down. I am thrilled that by working with SFEDI my vision is now becoming a reality; this shared vision is what will drive the success of the Business Service Professionals.
The truth is that the people who are most equipped to help small business owners are other business owners, or people who have a significant amount of experience in business. WinWeb & SFEDI’s Business Service Professional programme aims to create a complete small business infrastructure to give every small business in the UK the best chance of success.
The Business Service Professional programme is the realization of a long held vision of mine; where individuals can offer businesses not only guidance but also practical solutions with software, eCommerce and outsourcing options. It is this combination of practical advice and business guidance that I believe will drive down the small business mortality rate.
