Running any business means you are going to make mistakes, it happens. There is nothing you can do about it, believe me I know. Running WinWeb, exposes me to a multitude of opportunities for making mistakes.
How do customers feel about our propensity for mistakes?
Well that depends what you (we) do next. Customers know we make mistakes, they run businesses themselves. Things go from bad to ugly, when you try and deny responsibility, when you ignore customers with problems or begrudgingly solve the problem.
Accept, with an apology, that something went wrong. Don’t make excuses, explain and fix the issue as fast as you can. Customers are busy people too, don’t keep them longer than necessary.
Most of all, be happy to help.
