There is a great blog worth checking out on the Guardian Small Business Network by former Dragon James Caan.
Since leaving the Den, Mr Caan now operates a startup loan and mentoring initiative that is sponsored by the UK Government. This is an attempt to make it easier for entrepreneurs to get their venture off the ground now that the banks simply won’t risk helping new businesses.
In a change from his regular column, he reveals what NOT to do in business and also shares some of the biggest mistakes he made in the early days such as relying too heavily on professionals and overanalysing everything.
It’s a good read and contains a lot of sensible advice for entrepreneurs on how to avoid making the same errors.
