Small and micro business owners have known for many years about the benefits of employing people flexibly, but it seems like big business is finally cottoning on to the “big secret”.
Flexible working allows many small businesses to employ people who, for whatever reason, are not able to work full-time. Now 22 of the most influential businesses in the UK have signed up to a new group – the Agile Future Forum – to try and change the working practices of the whole of the UK by encouraging more flexible working.
This is a move that should be applauded and huge companies like BP, Bupa, Citigroup and Tesco have already signed up.
