“The most important motive for work in school and in life is pleasure in work, pleasure in its result, and the knowledge of the value of the result to the community.”
That quote was by the legendary physicist Albert Einstein. His work gave him great pleasure, but the benefits of the things he did eventually benefited a much wider group of people.
In your business you should try to have the same goals. Your work should make you happy personally and ultimately have a positive effect for other stakeholders like the local community or your customers that benefit from the things you do.
If your job doesn’t bring you any satisfaction and has no value to the community then you need to think about making a change.
