The employees should also lock their computer even if they leave their computer for having a cup of coffee. This is really important because a lot of secret data is mis-used by internal employees.
Thanks. Hope this tip helps.

Stefan, What a huge issue! I am glad you are offering advice. In 2011, there are very few ways to keep everything safe and private. Glad to have you on our side!

I heard social media optimization is going to be the next big think. Facebook started the trend and we can already see SMO is seriously growing in importance for global and local businesses. Small companies should not be a lagger in adopting SMO marketing tactics. What do you think Stefan? How does SEO compare to SMO?

Great post, its good to clear up some of the SEO myths out there. SEO can be pretty daunting to small businesses that are not sure what it is exactly.

SEO is an ongoing process and obviously there are lots of various SEO techniques in order to drive more traffic to a website, but my main tip is to get as much related quality content in to your website as possible and target the keyphrases throughout this too. Also you need to get lots of quality links pointing to your website too <- these 2 things will really help.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Tip 5 is something I wish more people would come to terms with.

I worked in admin a few years ago and spent a ton of time arranging travel for the higher ups, often it would be a whole day away, 7 hour total train time, for the sake of a half hour meeting.

Admittedly now there are better options, but web conferencing or even conference calls were easily available back then too (and by all accounts they've not changed their ways yet). Drove me mad.
