New Name, Same Old Service
As I ranted on before, red tape is known to curb entrepreneurship, and if that were not enough the government is now unable to keep small businesses abreast of crucial legislation that will come into affect from October of this year.
The Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (new name, same rubbish service) had earlier said that it would be making public the new legislation proposals that could be effective from the end of the year.
The Forum for Private Business says that it has failed to inform small businesses of the upcoming changes, so that they can prepare for them and not be caught unaware. Some of the expected changes in policies include issues such as data protection and holiday entitlements.
Who is really surprised? Is it time for another name change?
