Congratulations to Chelsea Singh of Wild Lotus Patisserie. Wild Lotus Patisserie specialises in vegan cakes and speciality baked goods. Like many Pitch of the Week winners, Chelsea’s business came from a personal experience leading to a business idea.
Chelsea told us how she was unable to find a vegan cake for her own wedding; meaning that neither her nor her husband could eat any! This led to the idea of Wild Lotus Patisserie being born. The bakery with completely vegan ingredients, which are primarily organic, has already attracted interest and orders, and Chelsea hopes one day to expand her business.
If you have had a great business idea that you’ve put in to practice why don’t you enter the WinWeb Pitch of the Week competition?

This week the winner of the WinWeb Pitch of the Week competition is Annabella Forbes, from home-from-home accommodation website Bed and Fed.
Bed and Fed is a web community of home from home accommodation, across the UK and Ireland, that visitors can visit for free. Annabella saw a gap in the market between hostels and upmarket, priced B&B’s or hotels, and felt that a service like Bed and Fed would fill the gap.
The accommodation on the Bed and Fed website offers people the opportunity to stay in a relaxed home environment, with a kitchen supper and breakfast provided. For an annual subscription fee it also allows homeowners to make an extra income by having their spare accommodation on the Bed and Fed website.
Annabella saw a clear gap between high-priced accommodation, and lower cost places to stay, and from that her business was born. Have you had a similar experience?
