Advertising Disclosure!

This is not about me disclosing to you that my company WinWeb is paying for this blog in terms of hardware, bandwidth, etc, no it is more about the double standards the "professionals" try to put on us "amateurs".Josh Catone on Read/WriteWeb is talking about "Blogging Ethics: When and What Should Bloggers Disclose?" - he says that:"....You'll never see, for example, Brian Williams on the NBC Nightly News conclude a story about Ford Motor company by saying that Ford advertises on the NBC family of networks (which includes USA, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, etc.).

The Cult of “Professional” Complaining!

Having read the book - BTW if anyone wants it, I'll send it to you for free, as I have no need for this dribble in my book-shelf - Andrew makes not one argument that could not be leveled at the "professional" media itself. The truth is that the media has failed us, the general population for decades - Iraq war, health care, 45-minutes claim, to name but a few - the population has been lied to either because of incompetence or intent.... What about the tabloids in the UK or Fox News in the US?I'm sure Dennis will know that Andrews arguments are so flawed on so many levels that the best thing to do is either write a book about it or move on. I have posted about this before and the "professionals" will just have to live with change, sorry.Moving on......
