Business awards might sometimes seem like a waste of time, but when they come with a hefty cash prize attached they should always appear on your radar.
Not only will being nominated for (or winning) an award mean that the profile of your business is raised, but just imagine what you could do with £10,000 in cash?
That’s why entering the FSB WorldPay Business Awards is a good no-lose scenario for any small business. It can be difficult for business people to ‘blow their own trumpet’ but if:
You are successful small business owner with something to shout about
or
if your business flourishes where your competitors have failed
or
if you are a young entrepreneur with a service or a product your customers can’t get enough of
then you definitely stand a chance of winning.
The awards are divided into four categories:
· Business Innovation
· Young Entrepreneur
· Micro Business
· Online Business
Each of the four category winners will receive £4500 plus a half-day marketing workshop. The overall FSB WorldPay UK Business of The Year winner will pocket an additional £5000.
Businesses need to have their entries submitted by the end of January 2014 to be considered for the national final in London in May.
