Do you ever look at some of the decisions that are made by big companies and wonder what on Earth they were thinking? Often the choices they make are made by top management teams that are completely divorced from the reality of what is happening at ground level.
This one of the areas that I believe small businesses will always have the advantage over their larger competitors. They can see what is happening in the trenches – so to speak – and react accordingly, whereas big businesses often end up doing the wrong thing because they have misinterpreted the data they received from the front line.
