The latest estimates from the British Chambers of Commerce suggest that the UK economy will exceed its 2008 peak from before the economic crisis very soon – as early as this Summer.
Economic growth for the year has been upgraded to 2.8% from 2.7% by the BCC and economic analysts actually believe that the organisation is being quite conservative with their estimates.
One major outstanding issue is the youth unemployment figures which are still extremely high, but in a separate report on business confidence the FSB has found that one in seven small businesses want to create jobs in the next three months – hopefully this might go some way to ease the problem.
