Figures released by the Office for National Statistics last week show that British online sales increased by 11.4 % in June 2015, compared to the same time last year.
The value of sales made online in June 2015 increased by 1.4 % compared with May 2015 and accounted for 12.4 % of all retail sales. The average weekly spending online in June 2015 was £815.4 million.
In comparison, the amount spent in the retail industry in June 2015 in general increased by 0.9 %, compared with June 2014. The average weekly spend in June 2015 was £7.1 billion, unchanged from June 2014.
